SEATTLE (AP) - A federal grand jury has indicted a Tulalip man on charges he killed two bald eagles and then attempted to sell them.
The indictment filed in federal court in Seattle on Wednesday says Shane Moses saw the two female eagles while crabbing at Tulalip Bay in December 2013.
KOMO-TV in Seattle reports (https://is.gd/3LWKx6) the indictment alleges Moses clubbed each eagle in the head and put them in a bucket to take to a prospective buyer with plans to sell them. The bald eagle is protected by federal law.
A listed number for Moses wasn’t found. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney yet.
He is to be arraigned April 16.
