MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The state of Vermont says revenues for the General and Transportation funds came in higher than expected last month.

But figures released Friday by Administration Secretary Justin Johnson says the Education Fund was below target.

Johnson says the General Fund revenues were almost 5.5 percent above the monthly target. So far in the fiscal year that ends in June, General Fund revenues are 1.26 percent above target.

The Transportation Fund was 5.1 percent ahead of forecasts. For the fiscal year, the fund is 0.07 percent below target.

The Education Fund almost 3.9 percent below its monthly target. For the fiscal year, the Education fund is 0.19 percent below target.

Johnson says that all three funds are well ahead of last year.
