MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Two dozen Vermont agriculture and forest products businesses are getting financial help to attend trade shows to connect with buyers.
The Vermont agencies of Agriculture and Commerce and Community Development announced this week that a total of $25,000 in matching funds has been awarded.
The state received a total of 34 applications for the funding.
The grants will allow the recipients to attend 15 trade shows in 10 states. The Trade Show Assistance grant is part of the new Domestic Export Program, created during the 2014 legislative session that helps businesses connect with buyers in regional markets and offers technical assistance in business and marketing.
