KANKAKEE, Ill. (AP) - Authorities have arrested the aunt of an eastern Illinois jail inmate on suspicion she helped aided his escape.

The inmate, Kamron T. Taylor, was captured Friday night after a nearly three-day manhunt. He escaped from the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee, where his aunt used to work as a guard.

The (Kankakee) Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1yLsHQq ) that sheriff’s police arrested 50-year-old Tonya Grant earlier this week and that she was charged Saturday with obstructing justice and aiding in the escape of an inmate.

It was not immediately clear if she already had an attorney who could comment on the charges.

Her bond was set at $150,000.

She’s accused of giving Taylor confidential security information about the detention center during a jail visit with her nephew.
