ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) - The Farnsworth Museum in Rockland will be closed for a month for building improvements.

The art museum also says the Olson House in Cushing will be closed throughout the year.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1P7Z3PH ) that the Farnsworth project includes new roofs for the Morehouse Wing and the main building, new boilers for the main museum and the Wyeth Study Center and the conversion of its heating system from oil to propane.

The museum says the funding for the work comes through Maine’s New Markets Tax Incentive Program and a federal New Markets Tax Credit. Funders include CEI Capital Management, the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corp. and U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp.

The main building will close on April 13 and reopen May 16.
