DRUMS, Pa. (AP) - State police say three people were killed in a head-on crash on a northeast Pennsylvania interstate.

Police in Luzerne County said a northbound vehicle on Interstate 81 crossed into oncoming traffic just after the junction with I-80 just after 6:30 a.m. Friday and collided with another vehicle.

Police said 24-year-old Daniel Sleva Jr. of Mahanoy City was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, where he was pronounced dead.



Fifty-eight-year-old Debra Johnson and 24-year-old Peter Johnson Jr. - both of Greenville, New York - were pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley and reported in serious condition.
