BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise police say a motorist was cited for reckless driving after a hitting a 14-year-old girl.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://is.gd/VrhjiI ) the girl was taken to the hospital Thursday night with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Witnesses told police the car went through a red light and struck the girl in a crosswalk. Police identified the driver as Robert Caven of Meridian.
