DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police say a man has reported being shot in the back while stopped at a Des Moines intersection.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/1GU50MM ) that the shooting happened just after 12 a.m. Friday. Officers were called to the Iowa Lutheran Hospital for a report of a shooting victim who was brought in by a private vehicle. The 25-year-old man was later taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

A man who drove the injured man to the hospital told police that the two of them had pulled up to a stop sign at Hubbell Avenue and East Euclid Avenue when another vehicle pulled up next to them, and someone in it fired five or six shots.

No arrests have been made.
