TOKYO (AP) - Veteran striker Yoshito Okubo scored a pair of goals on Saturday to lead Kawasaki Frontale to a 4-1 win over Albirex Niigata in the J-League.

Kenyu Sugimoto put the hosts ahead with his first goal of the season in the first half and Renato doubled the advantage in the 57th minute.

Okubo widened the lead in the 70th and then sealed the win four minutes from time after Rafael Silva pulled one back for the visitors.

The 32-year-old Okubo, who led the league in scoring in 2013, has scored four goals in four games this season for Kawasaki, which improved to seven points, three back of leaders Urawa Reds.

Reds beat Matsumoto Yamaga 1-0 on Ryota Moriwaki’s late strike while Vegalta Sendai edged Shimizu S-Pulse 2-1.
