DAYTON, Maine (AP) - A Maine man wanted on burglary charges is now facing drug trafficking charges after police say they found two safes containing more than $15,000 worth of drugs.

Twenty-year-old Chase Hasty of Springvale was arrested at a home in Dayton on Thursday.

Maine State Police say the arrest led to the discovery of two safes at the home that belonged to Hasty.

Police say a search of the safes turned up more than 400 oxycodone pills worth about $15,000, 4 pounds of marijuana, more than $6,000 in cash and several pieces of jewelry that they believe were stolen.

Hasty was being held on $22,500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
