CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A high school principal in Boone County is facing charges he had sex with two students.

The Charleston Daily Mail (https://bit.ly/1HwK1xC) reports that Van High School Principal Garth Emil Mock has been charged in Kanawha County with sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust to a child.

The criminal complaint alleges the 43-year-old educator had sex with two teenage students at his apartment in Kanawha County. The alleged abuse occurred on Jan. 9.

A statement by Boone Superintendent John Hudson says Mock has been on leave since late January.

Sgt. J.A. Hunt of the Charleston Police Department wouldn’t say how police learned of the alleged sexual abuse.

The Daily Mail did not say if Mock has an attorney.
