DUNCAN, Miss. (AP) - Blues guitarist and singer Eddie C. Campbell will perform at the unveiling of a new Mississippi Blues Trail marker in Duncan, where he was born. The trip Friday will be his first outside Chicago since he suffered a stroke during his 2013 tour of Germany.

He’s among six people named on the marker.

Another is Willie “Rip” Butler of the Wesley Jefferson Band

Pianist Willie Love made historic recordings for the Trumpet label in Jackson in the 1950s.

Percell Perkins sang with gospel groups including Five Blind Boys of Mississippi.

Young Clarksdale bluesman Anthony “Big A” Sherrod says he was born on a Greyhound bus traveling through Duncan.

Rosetta Patton Brown was the daughter of Charley Patton, the man often called “the founder of the Delta Blues.”
