TEANECK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are working to identify the body of a man who was found in the Hackensack River.

But they say foul play is not suspected in the death.

Teaneck police say the man’s clothed body was found shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday in a shallow, muddy stretch of the river near the Clarence W. Brett Park. It was removed from the water early Saturday night.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.
