CUMMING, Ga. (AP) - A popular campground on Lake Lanier has reopened for the warm-weather season.

The Forsyth News (https://bit.ly/1yM5FZM ) reports Shady Grove Campground will stay open until Nov. 8.

In addition to the more than 110 campsites, the 109-acre campground’s amenities include a beach and swim area, boat ramp and group campsites with picnic shelters.

County officials recently used bond money to build camping pads for larger vehicles, add a grassy play area and work on shoreline restoration projects.
