OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a firefighter has been injured after responding to a house fire in Omaha.

Chief Bernie Kanger with the Omaha Fire Department says the firefighter was taken to Nebraska Medicine with injuries following the fire Saturday night. The firefighter issued a distress call and was retrieved by a team.

Additional information about the firefighter or the injuries has not been released.

Omaha television station KETV reports (https://bit.ly/1CHA27w ) several fire crews responded to the fire.
