WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says two people were injured when jet skis collided in Bogue Sound.

The Coast Guard says a jet ski carrying two people and another carrying three people collided Sunday morning in the sound about a half mile south of Cedar Point.

A boater who witnessed the accident notified the Coast Guard and pulled one injured jet skier from the water. When a Coast Guard crew from Emerald Isle arrived, they found the boater and uninjured skier attending an unresponsive jet skier, who was breathing.

The Coast Guard brought both jet skiers to land, where they placed in the care of emergency responders.

One jet skier suffered an arm injury, while the Coast Guard said the condition of the second skier was unknown.
