AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Airport officials expect restrictions on landings at Daniel Field will not prove a major disruption for visitors to the Masters Tournament.

Federal rules currently prevent pilots from landing using instrument-controlled approaches from twilight to dawn.

A vice president for the airport’s operator, Becky Shealy, said most flights carrying passengers to the golf tournament arrive during the day.

The Augusta Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1yM30PE ) reports the rules have been in place since the Federal Aviation Administration identified trees, light poles and other obstacles in the airspace that could be safety issues.

Work to clear the airspace is not yet complete.
