ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Olympiakos failed to clinch the Greek league title Sunday as it lost 3-1 to Giannena, delaying the leader’s celebrations for at least one more round.

Olympiakos would have secured the title with a victory and is still the overwhelming title favorite with a nine-point lead over Panathinaikos with four rounds left. Olympiakos also has a game in hand.

Also, third-place PAOK beat Xanthi 2-1, Ergotelis defeated Panthrakikos by the same score and Panionios beat Panetolikos 3-0.

At Giannena, Brana Ilic opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, against the run of play, after an error by Luca Milivojevic. Michalis Manias made it 2-0 in the 42nd. Milivojevic pulled one back in the 69th with a 25-meter (yard) drive and Olympiakos pressed for an equalizer, but Noe Acosta rounded off the win on the break in the 74th.
