BUFFALO, Wyo. (AP) - The sales tax in Johnson County has increased a penny as of April 1 after being approved by voters in the county during last fall’s general election.

Voters approved the one-cent special purpose sales tax to help fund the expansion of the county library’s main building in Buffalo.

County Treasurer Carla Faircloth tells KROE radio in Sheridan (https://bit.ly/1DwavS6 ) that she expects it to take a year to a year and a half to collect the roughly $3.8 million for the project at current sales tax levels.
