PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities say one man was found fatally wounded after police heard gunshots near a Pittsburgh police station.
A Public Safety Department spokeswoman says officers responded when they heard shots at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday near a Dinwiddie Street police station. Spokeswoman Sonya Toler says police found a car that had been shot up and three men had fled the vehicle. Tyler says in a news release that the driver was fatally shot in the torso.
During the investigation, she says, a man tried to enter the taped-off crime scene, ignored officers’ commands to stay back and knocked one officer to the ground. Tyler says the man was hit with a stun gun and arrested.
