PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a basketball coach fired a gun at another coach during a teenage basketball game in southwest Philadelphia over the weekend.

Lt. John Walker told The Philadelphia Inquirer (https://bit.ly/1CHejfR ) that no one was injured.

But he said about 70 people were in the Christy Recreation Center gym shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday, and dozens of players, parents and onlookers ran for cover.

Walker said the 26-year-old coach’s team started losing in the second half of the league game for 14- to 16-year-olds, and the coach started arguing with people in the crowd.

He said the opposing team’s 45-year-old coach tried to intervene, and the younger man then drew a gun from his waistband and fired.

Walker said police and prosecutors are seeking an arrest warrant in the case.
