SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Northwest Louisiana authorities say a man accused of possessing more than $31,000 in stolen goods has been caught in Arizona.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says 44-year-old Michael Thain Schuler of Mooringsport is being held in the Maricopa County Jail pending extradition to Louisiana.
He says Schuler was arrested Friday at a traffic stop after Caddo Parish deputies tipped the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force that the 300-pound, 6-foot-2 man called Tiny might be in Phoenix.
The sheriff says detectives got a warrant accusing Schuler on two counts of illegal possession of stolen things after detectives working with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office found stolen property in February at a Shreveport residence.
The property included a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, motorcycle parts and shop tools, all stolen from Webster Parish.
