LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a 24-year-old suspected gunman is in custody after a bullet grazed the driver of a public bus in Los Angeles.

Sheriff’s transportation bureau Lt. Lester Trull tells KABC-TV (https://bit.ly/1F2UMdD ). The gunshot shattered the front windshield of the MTA bus in Echo Park near downtown Los Angeles shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday.

It’s not clear whether the bullet was fired on the bus or was a stray.

The driver’s injuries were minor, and no passengers were hurt.

Authorities said a male suspect was taken into custody several hours after the shot was fired, but no details on the man or his possible motives were immediately released.
