CALVERTON, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they have arrested and charged a Long Island driver for stabbing a man in the chest during a fit of road rage.

Michael Doroski of Wading River faces a second-degree assault charge after Sunday’s incident in Calverton.

Police say the 25-year-old man stabbed 48-year-old Brett Penny of Hampton Bays on Second Avenue at Fresh Pond Road.



According to Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1Day2Gg ), police say the stabbing appeared to have been provoked by tailgating.

Police say the two did not each other.

Penny was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
