SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - Southaven aldermen will vote this week on $2 million worth of improvements proposed for the baseball fields at Snowden Grove Park.
The Commercial Appeal (https://bit.ly/1xS72uT ) reports that the vote is scheduled Tuesday.
Proposed improvements include new restrooms and concession stands, as well as covered grandstand seating and new press boxes at three “signature” fields.
Mayor Darren Musselwhite said in December that promises to improve the baseball complex helped the city keep the Dizzy Dean World Series for at least 10 more years.
Thousands of visitors come to the area for the tournament.
