ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Orlando Citrus Bowl stadium will get a visit from one of college football’s top programs to kickoff the 2018 season.

Florida Citrus Sports announced this week that it will host a neutral-site matchup between Alabama and Louisville during the opening weekend of the 2018 season. The game is the second to be announced by Florida Citrus Sports and television partner ESPN as part of a multi-year agreement for the Citrus Bowl to host the kickoff games.

The first will be a Labor Day meeting between Florida State and Ole Miss in 2016.

Alabama and Louisville have met three previous times, with the Crimson Tide holding a 2-1 series lead.

The Citrus Bowl already hosts the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, Russell Athletic Bowl and Florida Blue Florida Classic games.
