DENVER (AP) - Authorities have arrested a youth corrections inmate who escaped by bolting from a Denver hospital bathroom through an adjoining, unlocked door.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/n3NR06 ) 18-year-old Alyxander Stephen Yawn was arrested in the city Saturday.

He escaped from the Presbyterian Saint Luke Medical Center on Aug. 4 after his handcuffs and leg restraints were removed in an examination room at a doctor’s request.

Yawn then asked to use a bathroom, and about a minute later, a corrections officer checked on him, only to find him gone.

Yawn was serving a misdemeanor drug sentence out of El Paso County.
