CUTLER, Maine (AP) - State police are investigating the death of a woman who was found earlier this week in Maine.

Maine Warden Service Cpl. John MacDonald tells the Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/1TyK6FJ ) the woman’s body was found Monday on the Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land.

Authorities didn’t identify the woman. State police officials couldn’t be reached for contact.

It’s unclear where on the public lands the woman’s body was found. Investigators didn’t say whether they suspect foul play.

The Cutler Coast property consists of more than 12,000 acres of blueberry barrens, woods and wetlands.
