LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified one of two men shot dead near a car parked behind an eastside Las Vegas apartment complex, while police continue to seek their assailants.

The Clark County coroner said Thursday that 31-year-old Fernando Omar Avila Estrada died of a neck wound in 5 a.m. Tuesday shooting. Avila Estrada’s hometown wasn’t immediately determined.

Investigators are still trying to contact relatives of the other man found dead at the scene off Nellis Boulevard between Desert Inn Road and Vegas Valley Drive.

Police say more than a dozen shots were fired from two separate guns, no personal items were found with the two victims, and it didn’t appear they were armed when they were killed.

Investigators reported finding what appeared to be a small amount of drugs at the scene.
