INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The death of a woman whose body was found in Fort Harrison State Park has been ruled a homicide.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the woman Thursday as 55-year-old Tina Moore of Indianapolis and said she had been suffocated.

Investigators believe Moore’s body was placed in the park after being killed. A woman walking her dog found the body Wednesday after the pet began pulling her into a wooded area on the western edge of the park, near a road.

A missing person report for Moore was filed with the Lawrence Police Department on Wednesday afternoon, a few hours after her body was found.

The park is located in Lawrence, an enclave on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Investigators have not identified a suspect in the case.
