BOSTON (AP) - U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark is joining other members of the state’s all-Democratic congressional delegation in backing the nuclear deal with Iran.

Clark said Thursday that the agreement is the best opportunity to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and ensure the safety of the United States, Israel and the world.

Clark said she reached the decision after meeting with constituents, President Obama, Secretary of state John Kerry and traveling to Israel to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Other members of the Massachusetts delegation supporting the deal include Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Reps. Stephen Lynch, Niki Tsongas, Seth Moulton and Jim McGovern.

Sen. Edward Markey and Reps. Michael Capuano, William Keating, Joe Kennedy and Richard Neal are still weighing the deal.

No member of the delegation has opposed the deal.
