JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a woman in northeast Florida was robbed of her cell phone by a 12-year-old boy who fled the scene on a stolen bicycle.

Jacksonville Beach police say the boy was arrested Thursday after a crime spree that also included stealing the bike, toy pistol, condoms and cologne from retail stores.

The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/TsxttT) reports that the woman told police the boy pulled up his shirt and flashed the gun in his waist band.

Police say the boy admitted he had run away from home and broken into a few cars and stolen a bike.

The boy is being held on charges of battery, petit theft and retail petit theft.
