BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck man is accused of firing a shotgun into the ceiling of his apartment, nearly striking a woman who was lying in bed in the apartment above.

Thirty-four-year-old Jeffery Royce Jr. faces a felony reckless endangerment charge that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Court documents indicate he is applying for a public defender.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1J8cugn ) the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday. A judge on Thursday set bond at $5,000 cash.
