LAS VEGAS (AP) - An early Las Vegas casino-hotel is being traded among casino owners on Fremont Street.

The operator of the Plaza Hotel & Casino and smaller Las Vegas Club across the street announced Friday that the latter had been sold for an undisclosed sum to the owner of The D Las Vegas casino-hotel.

The Las Vegas Club’s 400-room hotel which was shuttered for two years is also part of the deal.

The casino has remained open with a few hundred slot machines and 19 table games according to the latest state data. The operator PlayLV will continue to manage the casino until the new owners get regulatory approval.

Jonathan Jossel, the CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino LLC and PlayLV, says the sale allows the company to focus on the Plaza.
