President Obama will host a meeting with King Salman of Saudi Arabia on Sept. 4, the White House said Thursday.

It will be the king’s first visit to Washington since taking the throne. The White House said the two leaders will discuss joint security and counter-terrorism efforts, the conflicts in Yemen and Syria, and steps to counter Iran’s destabilizing activities.
