JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man who broke into a Jacksonville home has shot himself in the head after fatally shooting another man.
Jacksonville police say the suspect broke into a home late Friday, walked into a bedroom and shot the victim to death before turning the gun on himself. The unidentified suspect shot himself in the head and was taken to the hospital. Authorities said the alleged shooter’s wounds are life threatening.
A woman told authorities she was home with the victim when the two heard a loud noise and moments later the man burst into the bedroom and shot her companion.
