NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a Queens woman is accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend and then trying to conceal the death by setting his body on fire.

The body of 43-year-old Shawn McWhorter, of Brooklyn, was found shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday behind a house in the Astoria neighborhood.

Police say 46-year-old Dawn Mcintosh allegedly killed McWhorter during an argument. She then allegedly enlisted her son’s help to get rid of the body but when they couldn’t move him police say they set him on fire.

Mcintosh was charged with murder, weapon possession and tampering with physical evidence.

Police say her son, 21-year-old Donte Watkins, of Queens was charged with tampering with physical evidence.

It wasn’t immediately clear if they had lawyers who could comment on the charges.

This story has been corrected to show that Donte Watkins is Dawn Mcintosh’s son, not brother.
