PHOENIX (AP) - One of at least two intruders who forced entry into a Phoenix home was shot by a resident.

Police say the incident occurred early Monday morning in a home near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

Police say at least two and possibly three armed men entered the home, where one was shot and wounded by a resident.



The wounded man was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say at least one man and possibly two fled the scene after the shooting.

Descriptions weren’t immediately released.
