TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a teenager has been arrested for allegedly driving impaired and causing an accident that killed a woman on a motorcycle in Tucson.
Pima County Sheriff’s officials say the 17-year-old girl has been booked into the county jail on suspicion of one count of manslaughter and DUI.
The Associated Press is not releasing her name because she is a juvenile.
Sheriff’s officials say the teen was arrested after Sunday night’s accident that left 46-year-old Robin Rawlings dead.
They say the teenage driver pulled out of an apartment complex in front of the motorcycle.
An SUV swerved to avoid the vehicle and collided with Rawlings on the ground.
Authorities say Rawlings was pronounced dead at the scene.
