PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Pueblo police say a hand grenade dropped by a suspect during a chase turned out not to be live after all.

Police say 24-year-old Jose Raul Mena dropped the grenade as officers chased him just from the scene of a car break-in to an apartment complex just before dawn Thursday. Mena was found in the complex and arrested.

The Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad x-rayed the device and found it had no explosive charge.
