NEW YORK (AP) - An 18-year-old New York woman has been convicted of robbing an 84-year-old man who she met on an Internet dating site.

The New York Times reports (https://nyti.ms/1OUzb7Q ) Shaina Foster agreed to plead guilty to one count of robbery Thursday in exchange for a prison term of five years.

Prosecutors say Foster and her twin sister, Shalaine, tied up Paul Aronson in his home on Oct. 1 and took off with his cash and credit cards. That night, Aronson had taken the sisters on a date to an expensive Midtown restaurant.

A neighbor discovered Aronson the next day, bound with zip ties. He had met Shaina Foster on SeekingArrangement.com, a site aimed at connecting wealthy men with young women for “mutually beneficial relationships.”

Shalaine Foster pleaded guilty to robbery charges in April.
