WINDSOR, Colo. (AP) - The Ft. Collins Coloradan (https://noconow.co/1IPVxTD) reports that Windsor police do not expect to file charges in the drowning death of a 4-year-old girl.

Lt. Rich Higuera said Friday he hasn’t closed the case and is awaiting a few more reports but “I don’t see any charges at this time.”

That came one day after Skylar Sue Liston was buried Thursday. According to her online obituary, Liston was born in Greeley and lived in Fort Collins.

Six days after celebrating her fourth birthday, Liston was found floating in an above-ground pool Aug. 1 near downtown Windsor.

Higuera says the portable pool measured 4 feet deep and 20 feet wide. He adds he is not aware of any town regulations of required safety measures for above-ground pools.
