MANCHESTER, N.H. — More than 100 New Hampshire National Guard service members will be getting a warm welcome home after a nine-month deployment in the Middle East.

About 115 members of the 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Regiment will arrive at the Manchester armory Sunday afternoon, after two weeks of debriefing at Fort Bliss in Texas.

The guardsmen were among 370 from their unit deployed earlier this year to help support Operation Spartan Shield. The other soldiers are expected to return early next year.

Sen. Kelly Ayotte and Gov. Maggie Hassan are among those planning to greet the returning soldiers.
