PHOENIX (AP) - In a story Dec. 20 on the opening of the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley in Glendale, The Associated Press reported that the casino was operating without a license. While the state of Arizona has not approved a license allowing for high-roller table games, the story should have made it clear that the casino is operating under federal government rules that permit the tribe to license bingo-style games that resemble slot machines.
