ODESSA, Texas (AP) - A British man living in West Texas has been arrested on a murder warrant over the 1997 fatal beating of a deliveryman in London.

Records show 43-year-old Foyjur Rahman waived extradition during a hearing Monday in federal court in Midland.

The case involves the May 1997 attack on a 25-year-old deliveryman in an alleged neighborhood dispute. Two masked individuals were sought.

Court documents indicate Rahman arrived in the U.S. shortly after the killing. He operated a personal computer store in Odessa, where he was arrested Dec. 10.

Prosecutors say a towel, allegedly used by Rahman during a 2013 workout at a gym, matched his DNA to one of the masks.

A co-defendant was convicted in 2012 and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

An attorney for Rahman declined comment Wednesday.
