CATAWISSA, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a two-vehicle crash in central Pennsylvania claimed the lives of two people early on Christmas Eve.

Officials in Columbia County said a sedan collided with a sport utility vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday in Catawissa.

Coroner Jeremy Reese said 28-year-old Daren Kremser and 46-year-old Shane Breach were pronounced dead of multiple blunt-force trauma early Thursday.

Two other people were taken for treatment at Geisinger Medical Center, where their conditions weren’t immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
