BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a state trooper suffered minor injuries when dragged to the ground during a traffic stop near Baker City.

Oregon State Police Sgt. Kyle Hove says troopers tried to stop a recklessly driven Saab after clocking it at a speed of more than 100 mph. He says the driver briefly pulled over before accelerating toward Baker City. The trooper was injured in the process.

Troopers lost sight of the Saab, but it later crashed into two pickups at an intersection. Hove says the driver - 26-year-old Anthony Yattaw of Happy Valley - was arrested after running from the scene.

He has been charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants, assault on a public safety officer and other crimes.
