BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (AP) - Lawyers for an Ohio woman accused of suffocating her three sons over a 13-month period want photos of the deceased children barred from her trial.

The Springfield News-Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1Oa6S82 ) that family members don’t want jurors to see pictures of the boys taken after their death by a coroner or police.

Brittany Pilkington of Bellefontaine (behl-FOWN’-tihn) has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder charges. Her trial is March 7.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Pilkington confessed to killing her sons and was jealous of attention her husband paid the boys. He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager.

The Associated Press generally doesn’t identify possible victims of sexual assault, but Pilkington’s name and image have been widely published.
