POPLARVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Campus police at Pearl River Community College have arrested a student accused of sexually assaulting another student in her dorm room Sunday morning.

Doug Rowell, PRCC’s director of public safety, said in a news released received by The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1KIaxnT ) the student charged with sexual assault in the case has not been identified but is being held at the Pearl River County jail.

Rowell said in the news release the suspect is accused of entering the other student’s room and threatening her before the alleged assault. The student arrested in the case has been suspended from the college pending the results of the case.
