JERICHO, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island are investigating a spree of gas station armed robberies in Nassau County.
They say there have been 11 gas stations and one convenience store robbery since December. At least three may have been struck twice.
Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1uz2VCd ) reports that police also are investigating the shooting death of a gas station attendant on Jan. 28. They are not yet sure if it occurred during a robbery.
In each of the robberies a single assailant showed a handgun and demanded money.
They have occurred in Bellerose Terrace, Jericho, New Hyde Park, Thomaston and Westbury between Dec. 9 and last Sunday.
There have been no arrests.
